Selma Rainey - Art Glass Floral Drops - Five Petal Earrings

Designed for everyday wear, from day to night, these darling little drops are available in a rainbow of colours including new, vivid opaque colours.

Handmade by us and and available in  ten colours and three different flower shapes - this one is a classic, five petal flower style with soft edges & sterling silver posts.

About the Artist: Glass Artist, Selma Rainey of Rainey Designs, has created these miniature flowers by crafting each stem by hand, via the process of lampwork (method described below). This includes blending varying shades of opaque and transparent blue glass for the centre disc of the flower and the petals, then five sunny yellow dots are carefully placed around the disc. The  buds contain multiple shades of purple and blue, with swirls of grass green at their bases.

Artistic Process: The lampwork technique has been used to create these glass flowers, including melting Venetian glass over a specialised torch, sculpting various forms, then kiln-firing to ensure durability.
