Sean Rainey - Timepiece Pendant - Golden Bees

A duo of gorgeous little honeybees sit on a watch movement from yesteryear. This recycled piece is a new version of our classic bestselling pendants with contrasting brass and silver tones add to the detail of this stunning piece.

These gorgeous bees are made from brass, and plated with gold. The chain is made from brass, plated in gold, 60cm long (if you would like a longer chain, we can do this FOC). The watch movement is genuine vintage.  All components are lead and nickel free.

About the Artist: Sean has been making recycled jewellery for well over a decade.  As a child, he used to love building little car and plane models, and later on, he developed a penchant for gadgets.  This passion has now flowed into jewellery making.

Artistic Process:  Sean rescues found objects that would have been otherwise discarded and gives them new life as jewellery pieces.  Recycled components are usually in the form of intricate vintage timepieces and nostalgic coins from Aotearoa, but he has also used military buttons, metal milk tokens and even old bullets to give them a better life.  He uses his silversmithing skills to combine lovely recycled elements with  nature- themed charms and embellishments and finishes each piece by hand.
