About the Artist: Nicola Garlick from Upcycled Plastic transforms post-consumer plastic waste into bold, colourful art. Her handmade designs celebrate sustainability and creativity, by transforming discarded plastic lids into lasting, high quality pieces that spark joy and conversation.
Artist Process: Made from recycled plastic, primarily milk bottle lids. The lids are collected, sorted by type and colour, thoroughly cleaned, shredded, melted, and moulded. Each piece is finished with a strong, durable hanging cord.
