The original drawing of this Kākā print was made with ink and pen on tissue paper, inspired by Chine collé techniques. Lara wanted the image to capture the Kākā's fun and noisy nature.

About the Artist: Lara, the multidisciplinary artist behind Trouble & Strife, creates detailed artworks inspired by the natural world from her garden studio in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Process:Lara uses a variety of materials to make her mixed media drawings, including watercolour, ink, gouache, acrylic pens, coloured pencil and alcohol inks.
