Kathleen Richens - New Zealand Native Bird Greeting Cards

Kathleen has painted a charming series of New Zealand native birds. Each bird is accompanied by a native tree or plant that has a significance to that particular birds - either from the bird’s habitat or the tree that produces the favourite berries of that bird. The original is painted in watercolour and the reproduced artwork is printed on an A5 greeting card (150mm x 210mm). Envelope included.

About the Artist: Kathleen Richens is a watercolour illustrator from North Canterbury, New Zealand . She draws and paints traditionally by hand from her rural home.

Artist Process: Kathleen draws with pencil on paper before redrawing onto watercolour paper with a light box then lovingly paints with watercolours by hand.
